Information Assurance and Cyber Security Degrees in Wyoming

With a GDP of $40 billion, Wyoming’s economy ranks among the smallest in the country. Still, given the pressing demand for cyber security experts across all industries, IS professionals will find plenty of opportunities in Wyoming. Tourism is far and away Wyoming’s largest sector, much of which is driven by national parks like Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Devils Tower, Independence Rock and Fossil Butte. But energy is a major economic factor, as are real estate, manufacturing, logistics, and professional services like banking and insurance – all of which require data protection, information assurance, and security vulnerability analysis. To develop talent and train a sustainable workforce for the future, at least three colleges in Wyoming offer degrees in cyber security, with more on the way.
